My practice centers around providing support for parents of children from postpartum through adolescence. My work is informed by a focus on attachment, training in brain science and child development, as well as hours of one-on-one play therapy. I combine my skills as a play therapist and psychotherapist with lived experience as a mother of five along with training as a postpartum doula to provide parents with compassionate expertise and support at all ages and stages.
I specialize in adolescence, anxiety, attachment, attention/academic issues, grief, LGBTQ+ support, perinatal/postpartum, sibling rivalry, trauma, and transition to college/early adulthood. If you are a parent worrying about your child, you can turn to me for a knowledgeable and nonjudgmental perspective. We will work together to provide the scaffolding your child needs to learn problem-solving skills, tolerate uncertainty, build competence, and achieve the confidence needed for a rich and satisfying life.
Based in Denver, Colorado, Gretchen Seefried, LCSW, supports parents and adults in managing anxiety, stress, and trauma with empathy and care.
